Deal all,
I am new to acoustic simulation and I am very confused about why discrete wavenumber is defined in that way.In the manul (2.17e) k is a function of how many grids we declare on Cartesian direction. Then on a fixed point, if I declare 10 grids or 20 grids between it and the origin respectively, there it will have different wavenumber. It's relly confusing me. Why does simulation setup will infulence the discrete wavenumber? Why it' s defined in that way?
Thanks in advance:)

Hi Yu,
These are just the discrete frequencies of the fast Fourier transform (FFT), in this case following the definitions used by the FFTW library used by MATLAB. If you're stuck, you should find an explanation in most basic texts on signal processing.
