Hi,
I want to ensure that I am specifying perfusion values that map to realistic physiological ranges. In the literature, I see that perfusion rates are typically quoted as a volume of blood that flows through either a volume of tissue OR mass of tissue per some amount of time (e.g., 1 to 20 mL blood/100g tissue/min). In k-Wave, I see that I can specify a (possibly heterogeneous) perfusion distribution as either a single matrix of perfusion coefficients or combination of 3 matrices (blood density, heat capacity, and perfusion rate). I've chosen the latter option, but am a bit confused on how to specify the units properly. May I request an explanation of how to convert these literature values of perfusion to the 1/s units that k-Wave expects? Do I need to take into account the grid spacing?
Thank you! k-Wave is AWESOME!
Best regards,
Omar
