Hi everyone,
I have been simulating phased-array ultrasound focusing through multiple layers of biological tissue (skin, fat and muscle),at present, I am confused about the definition of these organizational parameters, can you help me find the accurate parameters(media.alpha_power,media.alpha_coeff,BonA)? If my media.alpha_power =1.1, f=1MHz, how can I define the correct media.alpha_coeff with three layers of organization. Also, who can tell me what BonA is,how does it affect the simulation of the kwave sound field,I know it can be defined as a matrix form,How do I correctly define nonlinear parameters from the literature or database to kwave, and it would be nice to get your answer.

Hi Jack,
I've answered this before in this post.
Each of the parameters can be defined as a matrix. See for example, the Heterogeneous Propagation Medium Example in MATLAB. The absorption and nonlinearity can be defined in the same way.
