Hi,
I was looking at doing some reconstruction given the acoustic data from a homogeneous medium using a full ring based sensor array (256 sensors covering 360 degrees). I notice that if I have some acoustic source in the center of a medium that the data on any of the sensors won't be a sum difference of 0 as expected. Seeing as the medium is homogeneous and all the sensors are equal distance apart the pressure waves should be the same amplitude and have the same arrival time.
However, it would be something between 10^-3 - 10^-9 [Pa] difference (given a 10 Pa initial wave). I was looking through the documentation and wanted to clarify if these results are just errors resulting from the simulation running?
Extra info:
- medium is just fatty tissue 0.11m^2 with a dx/dy of 2x10^-5 m. So a 500^2 matrix
- point source pressure wave at index (249:251, 249:251).
- source.p_mode = 'dirichlet'; is true
- center_freq = 7.5x10^6 [Hz]; bandwidth = 100
