   Hi,

   I was running "example_us_defining_transducer.m" and got the following error...
   

   >> example_us_defining_transducer
   
   parse error near line 759 of file /home/USER/Documents/Toolboxes/k-Wave/kWaveTransducer.m
   
     syntax error
   
   >>>         function properties(obj)
                                 ^
   error: called from 'makeTransducer' in file /home/USER/Documents/Toolboxes/k-Wave/makeTransducer.m near line 170, column 16

   I was wondering if this error has to do with a fundamental incompatibility with octave or if you have seen this before and could be fixed with a simple edit?

   Hi Alex,

   Unfortunately we don't have much experience with using Octave. Do you know if user defined classes are supported? Sorry to not be more help.

   I would appear that they are from the given link...

   I'll take a closer look at it soon and see if I can't modify the source code to make them compatible. I'll post in this tread again with the solution if I can find one. Or more questions if I come across some problems.

   Not sure if this ever got cleared up, but I was running this example, and got this error. In my case it was at line 929 of kWaveTransducer.m, so the current release is a bit different perhaps from a year ago? Anyway I just renamed that function and the line it was called from in the example, and it works. I think properties is a reserved word in octave perhaps.
