Hi!
So I am trying to come up with a basic model of what the team of researchers from the Max Plank Institute for Intelligent Systems did in this paper: Melde, K., Mark, A., Qiu, T. et al. Holograms for acoustics. Nature 537, 518–522 (2016). https://doi.org/10.1038/nature19755.
I want to be able to generate a phase distribution map and pressure map of an ultrasonic wavefront with a simple shape showing constructive interference (just as the authors did in Figure 3f and 3g of the paper) and then propagate that field back over a certain distance using the angular spectrum method. I have gone through the Holographic Projections Using The Angular Spectrum Method Example but want to also be able to generate a phase map for the wavefront but am not sure how to do this.
Also, how can I simulate the field propagated by a simple cylindrical transducer instead of a curved one like many of the examples use?
I am quite new to k-wave and am wondering how I can use it to achieve this goal? I greatly appreciate any and all advice you may have to help me simulate this. If there is any confusion regarding what I am trying to do exactly, I'm happy to try and explain further. Thanks!
