I followed the recipe in "Getting started with GPUmat" in this forum but when I try to run GPUinfo I get:
Invalid MEX-file 'C:\Program
Files\MATLAB\R2014a\toolbox\gpumat\bin\GPUinfo.mexw64': The specified module
could not be found.
Any idea what this means and how to fix it?
Nvidia control panel reports GPU is: GeForce GTX 780 Ti with Driver version 340.62 on Win7-64 bit.

Do you get this error when running a k-Wave simulation, or when running a simple GPUmat example (e.g., step 6)?
Development of GPUmat stopped a couple of years ago, and the latest compiled code is for CUDA 5.0, so it's likely to become increasingly difficult to get it to work. If you have access to the MATLAB parallel computing toolbox, I'd suggest that as the way to go.
We will also be releasing a native CUDA code with k-Wave V1.1 sometime in the very near future.

I suspect that it's a problem with GPUmat not supporting modern CUDA cards so I'm moving over to buy parallel computing toolbox.
I think it's still possible to get it to work, it's just a matter of matching the CUDA version on your PC with the CUDA version used to compile GPUmat. However, if you have access to the PCT, that will definitely be easier in the long run, and the performance is also quite a bit better (there are some comparison plots in Sec. 3.8 of the k-Wave manual).
