   Hi, dear professor.

   Suppose I set up a source.p0 and several sensors in a homogeneous medium, and then I can draw the sensor data into a waveform.

   I wonder how long it takes for sound waves to reach the sensor from source.p0, but I can't set a universal point on the waveform of the sensor to calculate the travel time.

   Should this point be set at the crest or trough? Or somewhere else? Whenever I change the speed of the medium or the size of the model, this point is modified accordingly. But there is no regular change in this point, and I need to keep trying to get the best position.

   I'm quite confused about this. Please give me some advice.

   There's one more question.

   I set a CT image to medium.sound_speed and set 'PlotLayout' to true to display the medium model, but the simulated figure is separate from the medium image.

   I don't know how to display the medium model in simulation figure, and the colorbar will appear next to the figure.

   Please give me some advice.

   Hi zhuoxiaoyu,

   There are many ways to do it, as you've found. As this question is outside the scope of k-Wave, all I can suggest is that you search the signal processing literature. One possibility would be to do it spectrally, looking at the phase response for a particular frequency component.

   Regarding the medium model, you can set a background image to display during the simulation by setting the optional input 'DisplayMask', your_mask. Note, this must be binary (i.e., black and white).
