I am new to k-wave simulations. I went through the manual and documentation and tried out several examples. I wish to know how to observe the change in medium-density in the PA signal. When I am changing the density value I cannot find any change in PA signal or its spectra. Can someone please help.

Hi Abhijeet,
In a homogeneous medium, the propagation of an acoustic wave doesn't depend on the density, just the sound speed. If you look at this paper, you'll see that the density doesn't enter into the governing equations.

Thanks for your reply. Actually I wish to identify the change in mechanical properties of the sample by looking into the Photoacoustic signal/ spectra changes. For that, I wish to simulate and observe the change in PA signal/spectra if the density of the sample is changed. What is the possible way of doing it?
