Dear All,
I am wondering whether or not k-wave is able to simulate source directivity. I noticed that k-wave allows two different sources of sensor directivity: Figure-of-eight (cos(theta)) directivity; and directivity induced by spatial averaging. In a similar fashion, I was wondering whether or not it was possible to simulate these same sources of directivity, but for a source. If so, could you please show me how to do this?
I am interested in being able to simulate both of these sources of directivity on both transmit and receive because in ultrasound imaging, the directivity of transducer elements affects the transmit beam that is produced as well as the backscattered signal received by all elements. Any help with simulating simultaneous source and sensor directivity would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You,
Rehman Ali
