   HI:

   I want to ask: should we do a hydrophone measurement and get the source-plane defined before all of my simulation on a specific transducer? How accurate is uniformly defined source waveform going to be?

   Hi Ben,

   A source plane obtained from a hydrophone measurement for a specific transducer will result in more accurate simulation of the field. You can read more about the errors introduced by using uniform amplitude source pressure in E. Martin, Y. T. Ling, B. E. Treeby.
