   Hi,

   I'm planning to use the kWaveDiffusion to simulate thermal diffusion. I will be switching between alternating between several source.Q arrays as I step through time, and I am using timesteps of 0.05 sec to simulate for a total time of 16 sec.

   However, currently the simulation runs out of memory -- I think this is because of the sensor_data field. If all I want at the end is the CEM43 lesion map and the final temperature map, should I just set sensor.mask to be FALSE everywhere, or is there something else I can do?

   Hi Daniel,

   Yes, you can just set the sensor input to [] (no sensor), and then query kdiff.T, kdiff.cem43, and kdiff.lesion_map at the end of the simulation. Note, you can likely use a much larger time step and still get an accurate answer.

   I'm currently writing up a thesis on results that stem out of the thermal code in k-Wave. I'm wondering if you could point me to the relevant publication(s) that the thermal code was based on, or if it was original material, should I just cite the k-Wave toolbox?

   We haven't written a paper on it yet (it's in the works, along with many other things). The algorithm is based on:

   B. E. Treeby, E. S. Wise, B. T. Cox, Nonstandard Fourier Pseudospectral Time Domain (PSTD) Schemes for Partial Differential Equations, Commun. Comput. Phys., 24 (3), pp. 623-634, 2018.

   So you could cite that along with k-Wave.
