Hi, I'm looking into testing Pharmaceutical tablets with 2 different sets of transducers. They're set up so one of them Transmits/Receives and the other one Transmits. They are shear wave and longitudinal wave.
From what I understand, K-wave can only handle the analysis of longitudinal waves (is this right?). I'm interested in testing for thickness, hardness, porosity, and weight. I have a prototype that can apply a variable pressure. My goal for it is to be able to see the change in elastic relationships based on the pressure applied to the porous pill.
At this point, I'm just starting off so I figured I'd post here to get any insights on what my next steps should be. I.e. Would K-wave be useful to analyze the longitudinal responses based on the pressure applied to the tablet with air-coupled transducers?
Also, are there any other packages that can handle the shear wave analysis?
