First off - k-wave is great and is really simplifying my life! I just have one question that I can't seem to figure out - is there any way to extract the direction of wave propagation / the pointing vector from a simulation?
I know you can easily extract particle velocity using sensor.record, but I'm looking for the localized direction of wave propagation.

You could compute the direction of wave propagation using the acoustic intensity, which is analogous to an acoustic Poynting vector (both have units of W/m^2). You can compute the intensity by setting sensor.record = {'I', 'I_avg'}. This will return the intensity in each Cartesian direction, which you can then assemble to give the intensity vector at each position.
