   Hi:

   I am having difficulty compiling GLIBC-2.27 on my cluster, which is a Redhat 4.8 x86_64 system
   The cluster doesn't have an updated bison compiler so I am trying to compile from my local CentOS machine but it's going painfully slow.
   I wonder does anybody know if there exist pre-installed GLIBC-2.27 package for CentOS / Redhat system. I found plenty for Ubuntu and other but not redhat

   I'd try to find a suitable compiler module on your cluster. Try commands like "module avail" and look for GCC 7.3 and newer. If necessary, you can also try to recompile the code with an older compiler.

   I know it's been touched briefly on other posts but I just want to confirm:
   I could use the CUDA program with GLIBC-2.17 if I compiled it with GLIBC-2.17 right?

   I'm a bit puzzled by the Redhat 4.8, which is ancient. You must have modular software system on the cluster.

   The important thing is you have GCC 6.3, at least. Then you can recompile the code for an older system. If you load a proper module it will load a particular glibc library.
