I am new to K-Wave tool box here. I was wondering how should I set up the initial pressure gradient. If possible, how would I keep the gradient though the simulation. In the matlab help document, I realized it is possible to do it. But without sample codes, I got confused.

Hi Yi,
Using the function kspaceSecondOrder it is possible to directly set the initial pressure gradient using source.dp0dt. This is illustrated in the Setting An Initial Pressure Gradient Example (you can access this via the MATLAB help browser).
If you want to enforce a particular gradient during the simulation, then I would suggest using kspaceFirstOrder3D (etc), and using a pressure or velocity source with source.p_mode or source.u_mode set to dirichlet. Again, there are examples of how to use pressure and velocity sources in the toolbox.
