Hello,
we do photoacoustics and use K-Wave for doing the simulations. Thanks a lot for providing this tool, it is very helpful.
We are now looking for ways to simplify our computation. In particular, we are wondering whether we can simulate a three dimensional axially symmetric problem in two dimensions if in experiment we use a cylindrically focused ultrasound transducer. The idea is that due to its focusation the transducer only registers signals in a plane. Can this be represented by a 2D-K-Wave simulation?
Thanks a lot,
Alexander
