Hello,
Was wondering if someone could give advice on the best way to model reverberation artifacts created by reflections between a transducer and a layer of reflectors in the near field of an ultrasound transducer.
Would it make sense to redefine material properties: medium.sound_speed, etc. to model the transmitting/receiving and acoustic absorbing layers of the transducer and then include the time varying pressure sources inside the transmit/receive regions with redefined material properties?
Looking at the "Steering Linear Array" example it looks like point pressure sources in K-Wave radiate in a spherical symmetric pattern, so I suppose acoustic absorbing layers would need to be include directly behind the transducer to prevent pulses getting reflected inside the transducer...
Thanks!!
