   Hello,

   Is there any way that I can get a source with spatial distribution like sinusoidal distribution,together with different puse width in time domin,such as 10ns or 20ps at the same time?

   Actually, the source.p0 can be sefined as sinusoidal distribution,but I have trouble with the pulse width setting. For example, assuming that the dt is the pulse width for source.p0, the 20ps works fine, but the 10ns seems to be undersampled and cannot give the right PA signal.

   I wonder if the source.p is the right one to answer the question I'm asking? If so, how can the different pulse width be set along with the sinusoidal distribution in spacial domin? And if there any relations between dx, dt and the pulse width with such long time span.

   It would mean a lot if you can give me some advice.

   Hi Yan,

   The input for source.p0 defines an initial spatially-varying pressure with zero particle velocity. There is no possibility when using this type of source to adjust the pulse width - it will always correspond to an initial value problem, regardless of the setting for the simulation time step.

   If you want to model a time varying source, you will need to set source.p_mask, which defines the shape of your source, and source.p which defines the time varying signal that is emitted from each grid point that forms part of the source. There are some examples of how to do this under the "Time Varying Source Problems" in the k-Wave help in MATLAB.
