   Hi All,

   I have two questions about source design in pstdElastic2D.

   1-Can we apply the linear array example* source into pstdElastic2D? I couldn't find the "source.p" in the pstdElastic2D's source list. I was wondering if we have a flexibility to design a source in which different grids of the source transmit arbitrary input signals.

   2-We are not allowed to use "source.p" command in the pstdElastic2D. How we can generate a monopole pressure source in the elastic simulation?

   Hi Andrea,

   If you are in a fluid region in an otherwise elastic domain, the acoustic pressure is equal to the negative of the normal components of the stress. So in short, you can use source.sxx etc and set to -source.p. Have a look at the Shear Waves And Critical Angle Reflection Example.
