Hello, regarding your program "Shear Waves And Critical Angle Reflection Example", I have a few questions I would like to ask you:
1. The focus of the arc source is set by itself or by the software itself. Why can I see the focus point by using a straight line source?
2. I want to simulate the waveform conversion of ultrasonic waves on a heterogeneous interface. How do I specify a sound wave as a transverse wave or a longitudinal wave?
3. What if I want to add an ultrasonic transducer to the outside of the sound field?
Looking forward to your answer!

Hi zhw198202,
1. The focal position (position of peak pressure) will depend on both the source geometry and diffraction. If you get a good acoustics textbook (e.g., Cobbold, Foundations of Biomedical Ultrasound) you should find descriptions and formulae.
2. In this example, the source is in the fluid, so only compressional waves are supported. For solid media, you can specify all of the components of the stress, or alternatively, use a velocity source as in the Plane Wave Absorption Example.
3. I'm not sure I follow your question I'm afraid. If you read the earlier examples, there is a description of how to define the positions of the sources and sensors.
