Hello, I'm a french master student in photonics, currently doing my master thesis in Munich.
I'm given a project with a problem to work out. I have to design an elliptic-shaped acoustic resonator whose a focal point will be used to make the ultrasounds to propagate across the ellipse to the second focal point due to the particular ellipse properties (and thoroughly choosing the parameters of the ellipse with regards to the wavelength of your ultrasound). Actually, I will ultimately send laser pulses on a gas flowing by the first focal point, and maintained in a narrow flowing line with prior pressurization to create a photoacoustic induced ultrasound field that will travel to my second focal point where I will insert a tuning fork to detect it and convert it into an electric signal. But for now, I'm running the experiment with 2 tuning forks for a better understanding of how exactly the ultrasounds are traveling across the ellipse and how are generated these ultrasounds around my tuning forks and how I should position them (with a very fine micrometer positioning thanks to optomechanical mounts for example).
So I would like to simulate all the aforementioned described phenomenons with K wave on Matlab.
Any suggestion please?
Thanks for your responses.
