   Hi, Dr. Cox and Dr. Treeby,

   Thank you for your continuing great work of the k-Wave toolbox b06 version. I have installed it on our Fedora 10 Linux system with an NVIDIA CUDA-enabled GPU card. However, when I ran the "Optimising k-Wave Performance Example" with example_number = 4, I got the following error:

   ??? Undefined function or method 'gsingle' for input arguments of type 'double'.

   I don't know if I need to install the MATLAB GPU toolbox 'Jacket' or there is something else I was missing.

   Hi Chao,

   Thanks for your feedback. Using the 'gsingle' option requires the Accelereyes Jacket toolbox to be installed (this is a commercial product). Note, the new version of the k-Wave toolbox (B.0.4) uses the MATLAB function bsxfun to reduce memory usage. Unfortunately this function is not implemented in the free GPUmat toolbox (the development of this toolbox seems to have stopped). I have written a replacement function using repmat, but unfortunately the performance isn't that great. I'll upload it to the forum when I get a chance.

   Hi Dr. Treeby,

   I have downloaded and installed (followed the installation instructions on their website) the Jacket toolbox (v2.0), but when I ran the example, I still got the same error. Is there still something wrong, because you said it's a commercial product, but I can download and install it.

   Does the Jacket Toolbox work independently of k-Wave? For example, can you run something like:

   >> x = gsingle(rand(256, 256)); fft2(x);

   I cannot run the Jacket toolbox. It seems MATLAB doesn't recognize the commands from Jacket. I guess the installation of the toolbox is not right, although I followed the exact instructions on their website to install and re-install it (and added the /usr/local/jacket/engine directory to the MATLAB path). I am trying to fix this now. Do you have any suggestions to figure it out?

   I got it work now after re-installation. I guess there was some issue with the previous installer, which caused the problems. Thanks for your help.
