I just re-read my initial post and realised it is easy to be confused thinking that I am asking for help with simulated time series data. I am sorry about that, I am actually using experimentally acquired data and trying to reconstruct that with time reversal on k-Wave.
the grid spacing the inbuilt reconstruction algorithm our DAQ uses, and the imaging region it’s choosing is too large for k-wave to work with. However, I thought that since we are using time reversal all we would need is the right time sample step, the speed of sound and the an adequate number of time steps with respect to the imaging region being large enough to ensure that the wave propagates out to the correct location by the end of the time reversal, regardless of the imaging region of the DAQ
